Gareth simply quirked an eyebrow as Karnie came back in. I would make some kind of quip about you already looking gorgeous earlier but I'm far too tired...I hate Torchwood sometimes, get's in the way of...stuff

She owuld love to spend the whole day with Gareth, but sadly she had to work. And she didn't even have her own desk yet... ((thats happening in a nother thread)). Karnie sighed and walked over to Gareth, holding his hands and kissing him lightly.

Gareth put on his 'thoughtful face' as he walked beside Karnie. Lets see. Do I mind that I have to walk into town with such a gorgeous woman, thus prolonging our time seperate from our work mates and simply revelling in her presence? Why, I think I do... He grinned playfully.

Stop it! said Karnie, pushing him lightly. They had reached the street now, and she took Gareth's hand as they began to walk towards the bay. She leant her head on his shoulder as they walked. I love you. she said quietly.

Gareth barely heard what Karnie whispered but he still heard it and it made him stop in his tracks. He blinked a few times, and it was then he realised. His gaze slowly scanned over to Karnie and he simply stared.

Gareth nodded and stepped back towards her. That's what i thought you said. Slowly, he leant down and pulled her into a deeply passionate kiss, only pulling away when oxygen ran low. He smiled then leant down, whispering in her ear. I love you too.

Karnie gasped suddenly, realising she had forgotten to breath. She swayed a little where she stood, thankful of Gareths warm, strong arm around her. "..." She said. Unable to think of anything to actually say.

Gripping onto her tightly, Gareth gazed down at Karnie, worry flitting across his gaze. His voice was tentative as he spoke, almost as though scared of what her next reaction may be.
