Within mere minutes of blacking out, Gareth came 'round again. He looked up into Karnie's face, apologies streaming forth from his lips. He knew he should have mentioned something earlier but the blackouts hadn't happened as often whilst he'd been at Torchwood.

God, you scared me. gasped Karnie. Breathing a little more heavily than normal. Are you alright? she stroked Gareth's hair and crouched up on the balls of her feet ready to get up and help him up if he needed it.

Gareth pushed himself to his feet, I'm fine, I should have said something earlier I'm sorry...I tend to...blackout... Once stood he dusted himself off and looked around. So...where were we?

Karnie said, Getting ot her feet too, Gareth seemed to sway a little. Karnie steadied him and discreetly wiped her eyes. For a moment there Karnie had thought he had died or something.

Gareth hugged Karnie back before pulling away, placing her at arm's length.
I'm sorry, come on...let's get you home.
He wrapped his arm around her shoulders and began to lead her home.

Karnie snuggled into Gareths arm, it made her feel better. She wrapped her arm around his waist and they waked back across the bay together and down the streets tpwards Karnie's flat.
She fished her keys from her small handbag and unlocked the door.
wanna stay fro a bit? she asked Gareth and held an arm out, gesturing for him to go in first - if he wanted to come in that is...

Gareth looked around for a moment then decided, it seemed that after the shock Karnie needed him there and besides...he didn't want the night to be over yet. He slowly stepped into the flat, standing there awkwardly.

Karnie pulled her key out of the door and walked into the flat after Gareth. She paused at the 'breakfaST BAR' and dropped her keys on it, checking the phone for messages: None. Karnie sighed slightly, she didn't know why she expected a message - none of her friends could remember her.
She reached up and fluffed her hair from underneath. Do you want a drink? she asked, slipping off her shoes and putting then in a small cupboard in the wall. It was similar to a cupboard one might find under the stairs, but it was in a wall, becuase there were no stair in Karnie's flat. She hoped to move to a bigger one soon with an upstairs and a downstairs.

Gareth stayed stood in the same position as he answered Karnie. Um...sure... He smiled softly and slowly, somewhat nervously, slid into the sofa in what seemed to bne the living room of Karnies flat. He had felt awkward standing there...

Well, I've got wine, and water, and coke and... gah, Im awful at this. said Karnie slightly exasperatedly. It was always her friends, especially Vicky, who had got her to go on dates and to parties. She always found herself worrying about what the other person might think or want.

Standing., Gareth stepped over to Karnie, placing a hand gentley on her shoulder. He span her around, capturing her lips in a sweet chaste kiss. Hey, don't worry, I'll have whatever you're having. He smiled as he took his place back on the sofa.

Karnie gasped as Gareth span her round. and stood there for a second after he had stopped kissing her and returned to the sofa. She shivered slightly then said: Well, I'm going for wine, I'm not quite tipsy enough for such tomfoolery.
She poured two glasses, and went over to join Gareth on the sofa, she sat on one of her legs in akind of half-kneel, on foot dangling off the side of the sofa.

Gareth smiled thankfully over at Karnie as he took one of the glasses. Well then, I may just have to remedy that. He said witha somewhat wicked smirk. He moved his gaze into his glass as he took a sip of it.

KArnie sipped her wine a sat it on a coaster on the coffee table. She turned and slid up the dofa and closer to Gareth. I'm so glad we did this, She said and nuzzled her way under his arm so tht he had her arm around her.

Gareth turned to face Karnie as she snuggled up to him, leaning forwards slightly to place his own glass on another coaster.
Me too, He spoke, his tone laced with happiness as he gently pressed a kiss to her temple.

Your welcome to.. I dunno, er... stay the night.. if you want. said Karnie, hoping she didn;t sound too bold. Just the thought of someoh=ne else being with her in the flat was nice. It seemed that if you joie=ned Torchwood, you separated yourself somehow from everyone else on the planet. But taht wasn't the main cause of her loneliness. She had been lonely for a while now, Her last boyfriend had even had the nerve to take her Yuca plant, claiming it to be his.

Gareth said nothing, simply turned in his seat, pulling Karnie around to kiss her fully. He licked his tongue across her lips but didn't try to force a reaction. His arms wrapped tightly around her body, gripping on to her like he was about to lose her and to be honest, working for Torchwood that could happen at any moment.

Karnie returned the kiss passionately and pulled Gareth close, she ran her hand up his back and tousled his hair. THey kept kissing, graduelly climbing upwards until they knelt on the dofa facing each other, rather flushed. Karnie gazed into Gareth's brown eyes as they clung to one another. Shall i take that as a 'yes'? she said, her voice a slightly higher pitch than normal.
