Gareth gently placed a had along the back of Karnies neck, tenderly rubbing it slightly.
brought you here, therefore I pay...at least for this round...
He grinned and almost, ALMOST, skipped to the bar. He asked the tender for the drinks and carried them back to the table. Placing Karnie's half a lager in front of her he sat down with his own pint of Guinness and he took a large swig.
Ahhh, so...I was thinking...I um, don't...actually know that much about you...you know?
He tried to sound calm and casual but he struggled...a lot.

Nor I of you, as in, I hardly know anything but your name.,, Gareth Ioan Bryce... your definitely welsh from your fluent language and accent... but no, we don't know much about each other. Karnie tried to think of some get-to-know-you questions that wouldn;t sound too childing or too flirting. Well, perhaps we should start with the easy stuff... karnie said slowly. She grinned, my incredibly odd name, of course, is Karnessa Meadows. I am 26 and I want to know ore about a certain young man named Gareth, who just happens to be sitting..wow, right in front if me. she grinned again. Slipping into her welsh accent as she often did when surrounded by similar cardiff accents, as they were in the pub. You see, she continued, from what information i have gathered, I have dworked out that he is a dark, handsome, mysterious and dashing stranger who has whisked me off my feet in a whirl of movies and sunsets...[/b] during this short speech she ahd walked her hand across the table to hold Gareth's.

Gareth was completely unable to hide the blush that was turning his cheeks a bright red colour as Karnie spoke her little speech and took hold of his hand. He took a deep breath as though absorbing the syllables of her voice.
Well, you would be correct of my name Karnessa Meadows and as for other things, you may know that I am 27 having been born in the fabulous month of May. I am welsh, originally from up north in Beaumauris but moved down her to a small village in the Brecon Beacons outside of Cardiff. My parents moved to another, more isolated village that had been abandoned and I moved here, into Cardiff. Once here, I found myself somehow gaining a job in the institute named Torchwood where, during one routine day of cleaning, a beautiful angel feel from the sky right on top of me and made me fall into a stupor where I follow her around like a lost puppy due to her beauty and simply amazing personality.

KArnie blushed a little At GAreth's words. Ooh, she sounds dreamy. When will you introduce her to me? karnie said smiling and giggling a little. Her eyes sparkling. I, however, was originally a 'londonna' she said, saying the last word in over-done cockney accent, similar to that slihtly disturbing man from mary poppins. and I moved to Cardiff for the scenery, university and all the rmours of mysterious activity going on in the area. The strange disappearances people talked about made me think the area around here as spooky and cool, but then of couse I got mysteriously disappeared and reappeared... well, on top of you really... she said giggling a little at the memory of crashing out of a flash of light and onto Gareth.

Gareth gave a light laugh. I shall ensure I do...as soon as you introduce me to that dashing young man you were speaking about earlier.
Gareth wrapped his fingers tightly around Karnies before letting go to shuffle his chair around next to her. Once positioned, he quickly manoveured his arms to wrap around Karnies waist and pull her towards him and onto his lap. He grinned, kissing the back of her neck softly. It seems that we were both cuahgt up in some strange occurances due to Torchwood, like we were destined to join and to meet.

Karnie snuggled into Gareth's chest, and hoped she wasn't crushing his knees. The corner seat was a trange cross between a sofa and a seat, the kind of thing one often sees in diners and pubs. Karnie entwined her fingers with Gareth's and turned, kissing his cheek. Yes, Torchwood seems to be some sort of catalyst for everything. she said. Are you sure there isn't a 'destiny manipulator' or somethingin the basement?

Gareth gave a soft laugh, Wouldn't suprise me really. He bathed in the moment for mere seconds before he felt his phone vibrate in his pocket. He gave a groan.

Is that your phone or is there something about you you're not telling me? said Karnie a little cheekily. She slid off his lap and onto the seat, still keeping close to Gareth. Go on, you can answewr it! she said smiling. She decided to give him a little more privacy for his phone call and leant forward to take a sip of her drink.

Gareth gave a mock growl at Karnie's statement. He then proceeded to rescue his phone from his pocket and he looked at the display. Of all the...
Hi Mam What? Na wrth gwrs fi ll bod 'na acha Dydd Sul. Do Bydda ar ei ben ei hun? Ewigod 'i chrawn? Addawa Bye Mam
He replaced his phone slowly, giving a slight sigh. Sorry.

Wow, your family ounds so together! said Karnie, slightly wistfully. She hadn't met up with her father for three years now and their only correspondence had been phone calls at christmas and birthdays. She hadn't recieved a Christmas card from his last year... Karnie made a mental not to find out if the poor bugger was still alive. When Karnie's mother died, her dad hit the bottle. He was never violent, but he was also never reliable. Karnie had done her best to keep everything running smoothly, but by the time she had finished sixth form it was all she could do not to bolt out of there straiht away. Instead she had hung around for a couple of months, while he got off the booze. It wasn;t that they had fallen out, but with Karnie living so far away they just never found time to see each other. Karnie felt guilty that she didn't feel she had lost anythin or anyone when she thouht of her virtually non-exsistent father. Do your parents still live up near the brecon beacons? asked Karnie, interested.

Oh but can't I stay up a little longer? she said, putting a childinsh twang to her voice. She giggled, but picked up her coat anyway, swinging her legs out of Gareths lap and finifhing the last dregs of her drink.

Smirking at Karnies childish tone Gareth stood and offered his hand to pull her up. Come on, we'll walk back along the bay, it's beautiful at night. He took his jacket with his other hand whilst he waited for Karnie to take his offered hand.

Karnie slipped on her jacket and took Gareths hand, sliding closer to him to walk in step. They leftthe ba together and began to walk along towards the bayside. Your right, it is beautiful

Gareth nodded as they walked before stopping and swinging in front of Karnie, look straight at her. But that view is much more beautiful. He grinned at her.

Karnie smiled. Your amazing. she whispered, truthfully. Gareth was so perfect, or at least he seemed so. Karnie hoped he wasn't secretly an alien or somehting. I don't want this night to end. she said and stepped closer to Gareth.

Gareth blushed at Karnies words and was about to speak when he felt that familiar sensation. He just had chance to whisper a hurried, I'm sorry. before he blacked out.

Gareth!? Karni gasped, catching Gareth as best she could as he fell out of her arms. She didn't grab him in time and only slowed his fall. Gareths!? Oh my god, whats wrong? Karnie found herslef panicking, and tried to calm down, checking Gareths pulse and breating, just like all those seemingly pointless first aid books she kept around the house - just in case - told her to.
