Kimahri sat still while the blond asked the new one that he had met if she could be of help.Kimahri still watching the shadow said "Can i help too I'm feeling real defenseless just standing here"He looked at each girl in turn when suddenly a though came to his head"Fire" he said "We could use fire, that thing hates fire i should know there was only one time when it wasn't very close to me, and thats when i was at my friends house on bonfire night, there was fire everywhere thats why he didn't follow me it hates fire.We need fire"
Kimahri stood up and frantically looked for a lighter or something on those lines.While he searched he accidentally bumped into Gwen knocked her over.
"sorry" he said "Kind of in a hurry"

KArnie changed tack, Okay, Gwen go get some matches.. there should be some around.. probably in Jack's office.. I don't know... She said. Grabbing some bits of paper KArnie screwed them up and staretd to make a small pile just outsied of the door, carefully avoiding the lengheniing shadow as it crept towards to doorframe. She noticed the chair sitting by the wall waiting for some tourist to sit in it. Wrenching off one of the legs, she added it to the pile.
Well? come on! she cired and ran to find a flshlight.

Fire? Fire! I said fire!? She was starting to get a little hyperactive now, she noticed, and took a second to chill, Think nice thoughts, caaallming thoughts. Think clouds... She liked clouds, they made her happy, the white fluffy ones.
OK, fire. Wood, paper. She opened her eyes to see the others frantically collecting fuel and throwing it in a pile. She reached down to her side, but there was no bag, so no lighter. She had dropped it back in the alley when the weevil had attacked. Damn. Ooh! Match I have a match![/b] She reached into her pocked and pulled out a little splinter sized piece of wood with a red end. The other end was slightly broken. Reaching out she scraped it sharply down the wall to her right, shielding the flame in her left hand, hurrying over to the little pile of firewood and stuff for lighting. Gently she placed the flame under a piece of paper. When that caught, she moved to the other side. By that time the match was getting really short, practicall at her fingers, so she dropped it into the middle of the pile, watching as it lit up another piece of paper. I hope it catches hold she thought fervently.[/size]

She had only just recovered from being knocked over when she caught Karnie's order to grab the mathces from Jacks desk.
Ok, i'll be quick.
She ran down into the Hub at full spped, scooting across to Jack's office. She hated going through peoples belongings and hated having to go through his desk even more. She went round to the desk, opened the draw at the top and rooed though it, photo's, random pieces of paper, a diary... well, Ianto's diary.. ah! matches! She grabbed them, quickly shut the desk draw and sprinted back to where everyone else was.
Got them!
She then threw them to Karnie, she had no idea what to do with them.

Karnie saw the papers already smoulering, but chucked a couple of unlit matches at the pile anyway. The red tips ignited off the smouldering paper and flared up, catching light to other things.
The shadow did seem to be slowing. Karnie breathed a sigh of relief, though they weren't completely safe yet.

Kimahri watched as the tiny little fire near the window began to catch light to nearly everything in the room.Then the curtains above the shadow on the window caught light burning the wooden pole near the top which made the flaming curtains fall onto the shadow it began to scream in pain.
"Take that!" shouted Kimahri.
Kimahri was thankful that the shadow was backing up but wait it wasnt it was multiplying into little ones that could fit between where the fire was coming from.
"Uh oh this isnt good" said Kimahri"Help!"

Gwen watched the flames take hold. Yes! But her spirits were soon dampened when she looked back to the shadow... it was spliting, now there were even more of them!

Gwen could see Kimahri was panicing, so was she. But she had to think, thiswas not the end, they would not die like this.
This is not the end! Right, get the fire going some more, we can beat them, there may be more of them, but they are smaller, come on, make the fire bigger.
Gwen had grabbed some pieces of paper from the side and thrown them onto the fire, trying to make it bigger, if these shadows hated the fire, they would hate this. Count the shaows! Alex's words echoed around her mind, of course! more shadows! counth them!
Count them, count the shadows!

Guys. KArnie said almost silently, trying not ot move her lips. I..
she swivelled her eyes to the ground, not daring to move her body. Beside her, latchedonto her feet was a dark patch of shadow, yet next to that, there was another.
She had two shadows.
A lit match was still in her outstreched hand, if she oculd get it to catch light to the hem of her jeans, the shadow should retreat. She dropped the match, but it went out as it fell and the shadow remained.
Karnie's eyes were wide with fear, but she didn't panic. Gwen. she whispered, a single tear running down her cheek. help me.

Alex was staring for a second at the shadows as they started to spread. One thought only occupied her mind at that time: Shit. She was so focused that it was almost too late when she realized that one of the shadows was getting very close to her feet. She squealed and jumped back, (uncharacteristically for her) flinging her arms around the person now beside her, which turned out to be Kimahri.
What are we going to do! She cried hysterically.

Kimahri nearly fell backwards when Alex flung her arms around him."woah" he said Kimahri glanced over to Karnie and had to look twice because the shadows were at her feet and they looked as if they were going to climb her legs."Oh shit"Kimahri didnt know what to do he was looking round the room when he saw the match that Karnie had dropped maybe he could light it again somehow but he had to wait until the shadows got off of it but if they did they would be on Karnie and by then it could be too late."I cant help her!" he mutered to himself

Gwen grabbed a match and lit it, then set light to a bunch of paper and threw it down nearl Karnie, keeping the shadows away from her. She did the same for the others. She then spoke again, she was out of ideas
An more ideas? erm.. we need them kinda fast!

But she had no idea how to fight these things, they were like nothing she had ever seen or even heard about before. Calm, clouds, white fluffy clouds... Ok, she could at least think clearly now. Looking at the fire, it occured to her that if they kept letting it get ahold like this, then it was quite likely to burn a good proportion of the place down. Fire ex... Fire extinguishers! Is there any fire extinguishers around? We could blow them away with them! It might work![/b] She started looking around frantically for any of the red bottles on the wall.[/size]

Owen was At his desk staring blankly at the compture screen. he hated things like this. He had seen Gwen leave not to long ago, and then Karnie a little after her. Now through, gwen came running through like a wild dog. He looked up as she ran into Jack's office and then a second later back out. "Gwen? Whats going on? Gwen!" she was gone in no time. he looked back at jack's still open desk and then at the door. He didn't know what to do. Finally he decided to follow Gwen she could not back up or something. He when up the lift and throuhg the stone walls. Then when the stone door swang open he found himself in a hell hole. Gwen, Karnie and two blondes he didn't know all screaming and shouting... and the shadows.... It was just all so confusing. "What the h*** is going on here!" he shouted looked at the fact that the shadows were moving. This did not look good.

Owen looked around. Not only was it the shadows... but the place was on fire! "A wait?" he asked but it was more in shock of what was going on then anything else. He shock his head and looked back down the hallway. "One second...." he shouted and ran down it. There was one just by the lift. He knew that there should have been one in the office, it was smart, After all that was the only wood part of the place. Owen grabbed the thing and ran back. "Here!" He handed it to her and then looked around hopping that his question would be answered by someone. "What the H*** is going on here?"

Gwen jumped out her skin when Owen came up, she hadn;t seen him down in the Hub, but, well, she kinda was in a hurry. Gwen had been listening to Alex's idea, she grabbed a fire extinuisher as well. She then aimed it at the shadowns and covered the creatures in the foam. While she did to she tried to explain to Owen what the hell was going on anf why they had set light to some of the little torist office.
Well... these thing have been following Kimahri, the spiky haired one. And well, it kinda split into all these things and we kinda have to get rid of them.

Kimahri watched as the shadows got covered in foam."I hope this works" he muttered to himself.Kimahri turned right and saw the first guy that he had seen all day walk in, Kimahri looked away and looked at karnies legs where the shadows were a minute ago now it looked like a white shadow was on her legs."We actually stopped it" said KimahriKimahri spoke to soon as soon as those works left his lips one final shadow rose from the white foam that now covered half the room.Kimahri glanched at the others."Not again!" he said.

Owen looked around. Gwen's explaination wasn't much, but it had been more then he had before. Some odd creators following them in the shadows. Owen thought and thought, hadn't he heard, or read something on one of the files about this before? He couldn't remember. Then he looked around, they were every where. His hear was pounding so fast that he didn't know what to do, he thought he was going to have a heart attack. 'Not at this age!' He thought but then he had had an extra stressful life. Quickly he shock that thought, now was the time to think about that stuff. "We need to get out of here!" He shouted to the others. "Down to the hub?" he said in more of a question. Owen turned and moved out of the secret doorway and into the stone hall then looked back to see if anyone was going to follow. They had to find that file and find out how to stop them.
