Karnie stepped back out through the door and into the bright morning light. The city was waking up, with people rushing this way and that to get to work, college or school.
so, do you guys have like a Torchwoodmobile or something?

Owen smiled and nodded. The car was really cool and he liked it.
"I'll go and grab it, be back in a jiffy."
With that he was gone to the garage where they parked it.

Gwen followed both Owen and Karnie ouside, she stood waiting next to Karnie as Owen went to get the SUV.
If Owen is driving, i think you can sit in the front. I am not holding the wheel for him while he hangs out of the window trying to shoot a blowfish driving a sports car again! Although, i must say, Owen is better driving that Jack, and Ianto is the best at driving us around, he doesn't nearly kill us each time we go round a corner.
Gwen had to laugh at that, even withan alien running around the city, there always seemed to be some debate about who was driving and who was better at it.

"That's your car?" she gasped, eyes wide at the SUV. "It's massive!"

Owne honked the horm as he stopped in front of the two. He rolled down the window and said,
"Come on then, get in."
Owen loved driving the SUV. It was a very nice car, not as nice as his little one, but fun. It was large and he could really go as fast as he wanted with the flashing lights when chasing something. He hated it when Ianto or one of the gilrs grove, becasue they were terrible at it, they had to be good drives. Jack was the next best thing to him, and he could be fun at times.

Gwen ogged over to the SUV and jumped in the back, from here she knew she could get a location on where the Rift activity was, and where the alien was now. When in the SUV she pressed the button that brought the computers down. Tosh was the best at this but as Tosh was not here, Gwen knew she would have to do her best.

Karnie stood slightlt awkwardly for a moment, not sure where to sit. THen, when gwen hopped in the back, Karnie climbed in the front seat. Turning to put on her safety belt she heard a mechanical whooshy noise. Gwen was surrounded by screens and computers. "Wow.That's pretty neat." said Karnie, wide-eyed.

Owen smiled. This was just like Gwen first time on a mission. He hoped that Karnie would be better right away. They didn't need a smoke alien getting loss and killing people with sex again, or what ever else might have been Gwen's fault. As soon as Karnie and Gwen where both in the SUV he stepped on the gas and they were off.
"Gwen where am I going?"
Owen asked after a second and they were a little away from the harbor.

Gwen waited for the computer to load up the loaction of the Alien. There, done.
200 metres on the left, in the third warehouse as you come in the gate.
They had no idea what they were dealing with, could be a weevil, could be one of those things that looked like human dinosaurs that ate everything, could be something they yhad never encountered before, they just had to wait and see.
(occ: what is the creature going to be?)

Karnie sat in the front seat, excited but gripping teh arm rest, knuckles white. 'I guess Owens driving takes some getting used to,' she thought and asked: "I won't need a guun or anything will I?"

Owen listened to Gwen's direction and turned accordingly. Then he said to Karnie,
"No, Gwen didn't have one on her first mission, well she did but she didn't even know to hold it up...."
He smiled at the mocker and drove counting the wearhouses as the went by.

Karnie glanced back and spotted Gwen#s slightly affronted expression and tried not to snigger.
"Well, I'd probably end up shooting myself in the foot, knowing me. I am a bit of a klutz."

Owen glared at Gwen and said,
"Hey, you can't throw. I caught all the rest of the the things the team was throwing, but 'yours'"
With that the car came to a stop nearly throwing everyone from their seats. Owen jumped out of the car and looked at the wearhouse in front of him.

Karnie undid her seatbelt and clambered out of the SUV. Suddenly she felt a pang of guilt, they had completely forgotten Gareth.
"We forgot to tell gareth about this." she said suddenly, though she wasn't sure what they could do about this.

Owen was about to run into the wearhouse ready to fight what ever was it in. He even had his hand on his gun ready to pull it out when he was stopped by a little voice. At first it scared him a little, then he realized he had his com. in and then he had to think a second to figure out who it was. Then it all came splashing back to him, as karnie's words finally caught up to him.
"Sorry mate...."
he said into the com. and looked at the other two.
"We went out to catch an alien... sorgot you were there."

Karnie looked around, trying to work out who they wree talking to. There was no one there except for Owen and Gwen and both loked slightly sheepish, as though they had forgotten something.

Owen looked to Karnie and then realized that she did not have a com. He smiled and said so that Gareth at the hub and karnie could both hear him,
"Nothing, we just for got your boyfriend at the hub. What kind of girlfriend are yo uto forget about him that easily?"
He laughed. It was fun throwing things like that at people.
