Many years before the human race died out. Only few animals remain, most mutated in some odd way. One of the remaining species is the equines, which just like most animals have mutated. It is quite a wonder why the animals even mutated, there is no proof why. Most think it is the doing of Melusine, the water fairy, because after the human race died out if they drank or fell in water they would mutate. Now only four breeds of the equines remain, they may have sub-breeds and such, but they are much changed than the equines we have known centuries ago.

Eolande

The horses of this breed seem to always have a colour mutation of some sort. None of them sprout wings however and it is very rare for them to grow a horn. The most common mutations for them are;; Extra legs, different coloured body parts, flower shaped markings, coloured eyes.
It seems that this breed is all about colour and their personality truly reflects that as all equines of this breed have a different personality may they be light, dark or neutral.

Naida

The Naida are well known for their love of water and the earth. This breed is usually a normal horse colour and more or less looks like a normal horse. But they do however sprout horns rather often. They are great swimmers and can hold their breath under water or large sums of time. Some may have scales or gills as they have water mutations. Naida do not always come in the water type however, some are earth types and may have a mane or tail made from leaves or bark. Naida never sprout wings.

Rhoswen

The Rhoswen are known for their love of the earth and it's animals. Rhoswen have the ability to morph into a couple of different species of animals. They may morph into;; Wolves, Cougars, Ravens and Squirrels. They do not usually have mutations but if they do they never sprout wings nor horns, they may have claws growing off their hooves if they can turn into wolves, or they may have feathers if they can turn into ravens. They may act like both a horse and the animal they can turn into.

Tenaye

Flight is their passion and life. They may have cloud formations growing on their pelt or may have sky coloured manes or tails. They almost always have wings, if they don't it would be because of some birth defect. They are almost constantly in the air because they love the feeling of flight so much. They have large feathery wings and feathers growing off their ankles. They rarely have no feathers.
