Gareth seemed oblivious to anything but Owen's voice. He screamed at the doctor, welsh seeming to be the only thing he could speak in.

He stood up suddenly grabbing Owen before dropping him as the sound of japanese shouts found their way down. It seemed to wake him from whatever state he was in and he blinked twice, he seemed to see Karnie for the first time and the figure that had only been a blur came into focus as Gwen. She looked as bad as he felt. It was then that more japanese shouting could be heard and he stood there, blankly, as his gaze returned to where his brother had been.
Tosh?
He still had hold of Owen as he asked where Tosh had gone, he was sure he had seen her.

Karnie quickly wiped the tear from her face. It had been very distressing to see Gareth like that. He seemed suvh a calm man. Whatever he had seen it had thrown him completely offthe rails. Karnie looked at him, half with pity and want to help him half with confusion and sadness at his shouting and raging.
Before Karnie could dwell on this any longer, she too heard the screams. 'It must be Tosh, that's japanese..' she thought. Karnie had had some luck with languages, as she could differenciate between similar sounding languages and accents pretty easily. It helped her scrape through german in high school and helped her pick up accents fast. Karnie turned away from Gareth and looked up the stairs, waiting for someone to take descisive action.
Gareth was still shaking a bit and Karnie wasnted to be there for him, but Tosh's screams were so afraid, so desperate that Karnie couldn't wait.
RUnning up the stairs Karnie found Tosh sobbing against the wall of the hub, her smal handheld machine a few pces away. Karnie grabbed the handheld and put it out of the way on a nearby surface. She knew Tosh would be even more upset if it was destroyed. "Toshiko, It's okay. I've got you," Karnie said quietly, trying to place and arm around Tosh's shoulders. "What did you see?"

Tosh was to dazed that she couldn't hear anything. She sobbed and whispered random things in japanese. She felt someone touch her shoulder, so she shrugged it off. She stared at the spot where here father had stood. She closed her eyes and looked round. Where is he? Where is he? she asked, frantically searching. She tried to stand up but fell back into her position. |

Owen was about to answer Gareth's Welsh cries saying that he had never been there and that it was just a ghost when she freaked out adn grabbed him. This scared the doctor. The young man was in a state of panic and rage and he was now in the middle. Then he heard Tosh scream. It had to be Tosh, it was japanises. He struggled a little wanting to go see what had happened now, even though he had a pretty good idea, it was another ghost or what ever. That meant that he was the last person here who hadn't seen one, his would some soon enough.
Then Gareth seemed to snape out of it finally speaking something other then welsh, or at least it sounded so, it was a name. "Gareth, let me go! Tosh! Gadael fi cyrchu! Tosh!" He hoped that by repeating it in Welsh he would get his message by.

Gwen could harly keep up with everything. Whatever it was, it was spreading through the team, and fast. She heard Tosh's cries in japanese, she was torn between staying with Gareth and Owen or following Karnie to Tosh.
Owen, stay with Gareth. I'm going up to see if Tosh is ok.
With that, Gwen sprinted up the stairs. making her way to where Karnie had gone. She saw karnie with Tosh and walked over. She kneeled down next to Karnie and placed her hand on Tosh's other shoulder, poor Tosh, whatever it was made you think the ghosts were so real. But what id they were? What if this was happening?

Karnie was the only one in t he team, except perhal=ps owen, who wasn't freaking out and seeing ghosts. KArnie was worried. She felt out of place and slightly offended that Tosh didn't seem to trust her. 'you're new,' she thought, 'none of the team really know who you are. There's no reason to feel worried that they don't really trust you yet'
Calming thoughts aside, Karnie was still worried. Owen and Gwen knew Tosh best.
"Hang on Tosh, I'll get Owen.. or someone."
Kanrie sprinted back to the others and turned to Owen and Gwen, "Tosh knows you, she's seen something too. She's really scared... I think she'll trust you more than me."
Then she turned to the pale Gareth.
"siarad â mi, Beth damweiniedig??" ((Talk to me: What happened?)) Karnie said, then added in English, "Please tell me Gareth, I want to help."

Gareth finally realised Owen as Karnie ran back into the room, Gwen had disappeared and he could now recognise that the screams were defientely Tosh's. Whatever he had seen it wasn't real, his brother wasn't there. What was happening to him?
When Karnie's voice drifted over to him, both in Welsh and English, Gareth shook his head.
I thought I saw...but he wasn't...and he's...it doesn't matter, I'll tell you the full story later. But, something's going on that I know for a fact.

Owen and Gwen can see to Tosh, We'd better find out what is going on.
Karnie was worried, with the rest of the team seeing horrific images, it seemed that just Owen and her remained to see something. The visions were obviously firghtening, and seemed to be spreading through the team. Karnie wondered when the infamous Captain Jack would be back, and whether he'd know what to do.

Tosh buried her head into her arms and sobbed into the sleeve of her top. She felt something else on her other shoulder, and she once more shrugged it off. She looked up and stared into noting. She couldn't even speak properly. It was so real...so real...I touched him...He was just... She spoke slowly yet in english. She sobbed and realised Gwen was next to her. She reached out and touched her, and sobbed. |

Owen turned and run up the stairs as Karnie came down. He had not make sure that Tosh was ok. He was up in the hub in a few seconds, almost surprised at how fast he had ran/ He saw Tosh crying and Gwen there. He wasn't that good at conferting others, but this was Tosh, he had to try. Walking slowly over to the two he kneeled and took in a big breath. "Its ok, Tosh, no one is going to hurt you now. It was only a vision, nothing more!" he said and for a second wondered if that was true, but he psuhed that from his mind. He had to make sure Tosh was fine before he started to see things as well. That thought scared his half to death. It all seemed like it was so real and he was afraid to see who from his past would come up. He did not want to see who ever it was.

Tosh heard a voice, yet it was to faint for her to register. She stared up at Owen as if he was a stranger and she reached up with one hand, hoping he'd grab it. It was so real...I felt him, I saw the blood, I felt his hand against mine as he pushed me away. He was as real as you, as real as anyone...What happened to him? She blundered on and on, staring into nothing. She realized that her alien gizmo was gone. Where is it? Where did it go? |

Owen took the out reached hand hoping to make Tosh feel better. As she went on and on about it it only made him more scared of what he would see by he forced that out of his mind. Now was for Tosh and not him! She was the one crying on the floor! Thinking of what might happen was not a good idea. He sighed and using Tosh's hand with in his he pulled her in to a hug. "It's ok! Shhhhhh... don't worry about anything now. There is nothing to be afriad of. Just rest for a little.... don't thingk."Owen wasn't even sure what he was saying untill it was out of his mouth.

Tosh closed her eyes and felt one last tear fall down her cheek. She just couldn't help it. She pulled away from Owen and tried to smile. If only you could have seen him. He was just so real, just like the day he left. Tosh let go of Owen's hand, just like she had let go of her fathers all those years ago. She pulled her self to her feet and lent against the wall. She looked round and went for the gizmo. She smiled and started tapping away on it. Just before she had seen the 'ghost', she'd enabled a dectector, specialized equipment that could sense anything. |

Gareth grabbed Karnie's hand and ran upstairs, past Tosh and the others. Once they neared the invisble lift, Gareth let go and kissed Karnie quickly once before climbing on.
I won't be long...I think...I just need to...
He had a strange sense that these visions were all linked...to some place or something else...he had decided to see. First things first, he needed a camera and his car.

Gwen moved back when Tosh stood up, to gve her more room. She then turned to see Gareth and Karnie. Whatever it was, it was making it's way throught the team one at a time, or maybe it was a pattern? She didn't, she still could not think right. She watched as Gareth left via the invisible lift. Maybe they might be able to find out what the hell was going on here.

Karnie sighed. Now left alone in the hub she didn't know what to do with herself. Everyone else was busy comforting Tosh or, in Gareth's case, running off on their own. Karnie didn't knwo to ssh well enough to be of any use.

Owen watched Tosh as she pulled away. He knew that now she was trying to keep her pride and try and be cool. It would have been what he would do. He then watched as Gareth ran off. he wondered what he was doing. He had an idea then he should share with the rest of them, not run off. he looked from Tosh to the lift then at the others tyring to decided if he should follow Gareth or stay here with the others. Finally deciding that someone needed to make sure that Gareth wasn't doing anything rash he run after him. Going through the cog door and up the stairs, not wanting to wait for the elevator or the lift. Soon he was at the top in the tourist office and was then out the door and running toward the water tower looking around for Gareth.

Jack had been out, there had been some rift activity and he had gone out on his own to fix the problem. It had been just a simple thing, no danger so he had not bothered to take any one with him. He was heading back to the hub now and when he got there things were, well not a peaceful as when he had left. Owen and Gareth where outside. Something was wrong. Jack paid the two no attention and ran inside, and though the cog door.
"Now where...?" He muttered to himself looking about. Well if something was up would the vaults not be the place for it to happen? he nodded and took off that way at a dead run. He saw Gwen, Tosh and Karnie there.
"What's going on?" he slowed to a stop and felt a chill in the air. He looked around wondering what was happing, he saw nothing but felt what ever it was.

Owen watched as Jack ran past him. He did not care that the boss was here, the others would sort it out. He looked around the dark "court yard" It was now around 4 in the morning, not much later then when he had arrived, but because it was so early it was still empty. There were no cars going by, and no one walking. He looked aroundnot quite sure where Gareth was.
He Owen stood in the dark alone he got to thinking about the situation. The team was seeing ghosts and that was not good for him. He was scared to death of what, or more of who, he would see. There were pleanty of people in his life, Diane, his family. He loved Diane but his mother he had no care for, she never loved him. The thing was neither he wanted to see. Then there was the real person he was afraid to see. The one that he had been running from for 4 years now. The love of his life. He did not know if he couls stand seeing Katie. The others what they saw was so real, he did not want that. They all said that they said that they had blamed them, and he did not want to here katie say those words. The words that had linger in the back of his head for all those years. 'Owen, you said you would never leave me! You said that it would all be ok!'
Owen turned in fear of seeing the woman and for the first time realize just how scared he was. He now knew why he had run out after Gareth. He didn't care what Gareth was doing. he could care less if he got himself killed, he had never really liked the guy anyways. The real reason Owen had run away was just that, running away. The first thing was there might be some chance that he did not have a vision, that a ghost did not appear to him. In truth he knew that that was rubbish and that he had felt a ghost coming before he left his flat. That was what had been scaring him, and no matter where he went he was going to see one. The other part of why he was running was that he did not want to freak out like the others did when he saw her, or at least not in fornt of them. In truth he had never told anyone about katie, only Jack knews of her, and he was not ready to let them know. He had seen what the other did when they saw some one, and he did not want them to see him in such a state. Maybe he was just trying to protect his pride, or maybe it was something else.
Owen continued to circle looking around in the dark, feeling himself fall apart. If he could he would be crying right now, but as he was dead there were no tears. He was breathing hard though and it sounded like he was crying, a little. He knew that he had to pull himself together before Gareth reappered and he was seen like this but he couldn't help it. The dark sorrounded him, and he was starting to feel cold. How could that be? He couldn't feel anything. It was happening again he knew it. This ghost thing was some how mental or something he knew that his worse fear was coming true.
"Owen? A soft voice come out of no where he Owen stopped turning to look around. "Katie?" He siad only to find his voice so soft that he could hardly hear it. He turned and found himself face to face with the love of gis life. The woman that he should be married to! "Katie?" he asked again feeling like she was really there, and almost frogetting that it was a ghost and that she was dead. "Owen, you betrayed me! You let me die!" "No... no... no I didn't.... I tried to... I wanted to... Save you... Katie?" Owen cried stepping closer to Katie, wanting to feel her warmth one last time. "I truthed tou! And you left me!" "I never left you.... "Now you have found someone else! "No No I haven't I love you! Katie please!" Owen stretched his hand out, he was just inches away from her. Inches away from the one that he love more then anyone. "I don't love you!" Katie's smooth voice turned hard and cruel. Her face turned mad as bllod started to leak from her head. Covering her features turning her ivory skin red. "KATIE! NO!! PLEASE!!! I'M SORRY! KATIE!" Owen cried but she was gone.

Tosh looked up as Jack came in. She wiped her eyes and pushed her self off the wall. She didn't smiel liek she normally did when Jack came into the room. She shook her head and started clicking on her gizmo. We're seeing them again, Jack. The... A scream cut her off and Tosh started at a run. She was still clicking on her gizmo, and it registered some strange activity outside the hub. She ran faster and straight up the stairs to the tourist office and out the door. She looekd roudn and saw Owen, a bit away and whimpering. She walked forward and spoke quietly. Owen? |
