Jack felt a shiver run down his spine as the shape shifter moved his hands as well, on to the back of his nick and other to his hair. Jack let his hand on the shape shifters face moved slightly, running it past the ear and down the jaw line and over the lips. he lets slow soft kisses follow the past of his and before answering.
"I'm human, but I have seen more of this earth, felt more from other words than you could ever guess. I've had lived longer than any human should be able to live, seen more than any human should be able to bear to witness. But human I am." His words were softly spoken, as if scared to say them yet whiling to let them be heard. "I can never die; the human life cycle will never have its hold over me."
Sadness came over him for a second; his eyes mirrored what was in side him. Jack clung to this alien who would kill all his team if he could, who would lay waist to earth if he had the change; all that was forgotten in the moment as Jack merged his body with the shape shifters.

Shivers passed down the creature's spine with every touch, every kiss. When the Captain answered , he listened, taking in the humans every word. When the last word passed Jack's lips the creature looked into his eyes. He felt sometime else, something all to familiar, sadness. Her was this human, unable to escape the grasps of life, when every other creature upon his planet would die, Jack would live on forever, seeing loved ones die, seeing everything changing, for better or for worse. The Captain's situation opened up something the creature had locked away a long time ago. He himself was out of his time, lost on a different planet, missing his family. What good was it going to do tearing this world apart. he would only be creating more sadness, more terror. Why? what was the point? Revenge? what had anyone else done to him? Jack had made him see things differently. He held the Captain close, burying his face into Jack's neck. Something in him had changed, for the better.
.. but it's not all bad, is it Jack? Your immortality will have saved many precious lives, and many more in the future. You will help more people than you ever thought you could, won't you? and you will change them for the better, like you've done to me.

Jack for once understood this shape shifters he let his won words come froth, his own fears and pains laid upon the table. In the eyes of the alien the same he saw the same sadness that lived in him, the same longing. Jack pulled the shape shifter closer as he buried his face into Jack's neck.
"Maybe in the long run looking back the lives I have saved and changed are many, the way I have shaped the world for some people but viewing my life here right now in this age soon the ones I love will leave and I'll be alone again. Alone to watch the world keep changing, helpless to stop it or recover the ones the human mortality has claimed."
There was nothing Jack could do to stop his loved ones from dieing, he would save them now, had saved them here, and he would keep death away from others who would do them harm but in the end mortality would take them all away from him. Here in this abandoned bunker with the shape shifter Jack felt the weight of that fall onto his shoulders, the helplessness of it all.

The shape shifter listened to the words Jack had to say, they filled the creature with a deep sadness, here he was, standing in a bunker, outside a city, holding a human he had only met a few hours ago. In those few hours he had learnt so much. But it was still not enough.
Then live for today, Jack. Live with your loved ones while they are here, cherish every moment you have with them. Time is an amazing thing, but it is also a terrible thing. Spend time with them now. Don't worry about the future, it's now that is important.
As he spoke he thought about his words. Here he was, telling this to Jack, when all he wanted to do was escape, he wanted to be home, with his family, friends, and if he could not have that, he didn't want to live out of his time.
Jack, i'm out of place here, out of my time. I saw the horrible side of time, and i can't live in a place like this. i can't adjust. I need to find my escape.

Jack nodded his head, this shape shifter was right. Maybe it time he would loss them, but why let that stop him from livening the life they had with him now? He would find away to go on, he always did this time it would just be harder this time.
"Maybe we can get you home. We are not sure how the rift works, but maybe it can send you back to your home and family just as it took you away from them." Jack said. It was worth a try right? It was always worth a try.

The creature listened. Would he be able to go home? What if it didn't work, what if he ended up somwhere else, further away? But the risk's were worth taking. He looked up into Jack's cobalt blue eyes, thinking for a moment before he replied.
You would try that for me?
The creature wanted to go home so badly, maybe he might just get that ne wish furfilled.

Jack nodded his head slowly at the shape shifters question. yes he would try, and try his hardest to help this creature get home. It was the least he could do. But why did he want to help it so much? he had wanted to destroy all he held dear just moments before. He has changed that's why, show him the good of humans and a better life. Show him kindness and get kindness back.
"Yes I'll try to get you home." He vowed in a whisper. "We will go back to hub and I'll see if Tosh can work on opening the rift to send you home." It was worth a try, yes it was most defiantly worth a try.
